Goal Setting

“Everything in this world is created twice: First – created in your mind, followed by the manifestation in reality”.

Time of your life would eventually pass! For some, life becomes a drag and a constant drift, being caught in the web of routines, without much sense, without making their presence felt!  Also, many people feel as if their life is eluding them of those fame and glory which they are entitled to.

Many a times, we are at a logger head with our capabilities, which mean we are not able to deliver results in accordance with our latent and inherent potential.  Even though we work the hardest, still we don't seem to be heading anywhere!

The main reason why we feel this way is because, we haven't spent enough time thinking about what we want from life? And, hence, have not been able to connect with one or two strong purpose for which we should exist; the purpose which should  give us  direction , clarity, conviction, strength and zeal to do par excellence, in something which would makes us proud once accomplished.

What differentiates a successful people, from those who struggle throughout the life, is that a successful people have a clear vision, driven by a strong purpose. They precisely know what they want, and accordingly set SMARTER Goals (Specific, Measurable, Actioned oriented, Realistic and Relevant, Ethical Exciting Enjoyable, Resourced), and relentlessly pursue the Goals to fruition.

Goal is born out of a strong purpose, and Goal Setting is a powerful process which structures our thinking about our ideal future, and motivates us to turn our vision of this future into reality.

The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life and how? By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you can concentrate your efforts accordingly.  Goal setting also helps you to take into account the distractions which may appear on the path of achieving your Goals and in fulfillment of your vision.

If you don’t have well set goals in life, you are spending your life running around and not achieving anything for yourself. You get the illusion that you are doing a lot of things, but they aren’t what you want. You are just busy fulfilling everyone’s goals, besides your own.

Setting your goals gives you clarity of thought on what you ultimately want. It makes you crystallize and articulate the desires floating in your mind. It ensures that you are channeling your time, energy and efforts into things that really matter to you. It makes you live more consciously.

Having goals not only makes you responsible, but also, accountable. Rather than merely talking about what you want all the time and not do anything concrete about them, you are now obligated to take action. Setting a specific goal gives you clarity on whether you are living up against what you committed yourself to do.

Goal setting is used by top-level sports players, successful business big-wigs and achievers of every profession. Setting goals gives you vision and motivation. By setting sharp, clear cut goals, and systematically persuading these goals in a regimental and planned manner, while taking intermittent reviews of progress towards goal, would eventually culminate in the achievement of these goals, and you'll see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a no -head way situation. This would definitely raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your own capability and competence in achieving the goals that you've set.

By setting goals, you would definitely experience more growth professionally and socially.

So, remember, Goals setting is THE CORNER STONE for success in anything worth a while you wish to achieve.
